ABERDEEN, S.D. (Press Release) – Northern State University’s marching band has several community performances planned throughout the month of September.
The NSU Marching Wolves will perform the following dates and locations:
- Sept. 4: March through campus, 3 p.m.
- Sept. 9: Play at Bethesda and Angelhaus Nursing homes (closed to the public for resident safety)
- Sept. 10: Play at Prairie Heights and Avera Mother Joseph Manor nursing homes (closed to the public for resident safety)
- Sept. 16: Perform for police and firefighters, followed by parade through downtown, 3:30 p.m.
- Sept. 25: Evening street marching through residential neighborhood in northern area of town
- Sept. 30: Marching in Roncalli’s parade of bands, 9:30 a.m.
“I am proud of our faculty’s enthusiastic willingness to rethink our music students’ performance experiences this year,” said NSU School of Fine Arts Dean Dr. Kenneth Boulton. “We are intent on providing alternative and enriching opportunities for the students to share their talents with the community, with health and safety in mind.”
