BURNSVILLE, MN (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released Friday morning the 2019 Winter All-Academic Teams. A total of 62 Wolves were honored, with 34 being named to the All-Academic Team of Excellence.
To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student-athlete must have a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher (noted w/ an asterisk), while NSIC All-Academic Team members must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher. Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, red-shirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
Women’s indoor track and field led the way with 16 honorees, followed by the men with 12. The swim team landed 11 on the list, followed by women’s basketball with ten, wrestling with seven, and men’s basketball with six.
