ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release) – The Northern Innovation and Startup Center, in collaboration with the Aberdeen Development Corporation, will host the second Technology and Entrepreneurship Summit on Sept. 18 at the Johnson Fine Arts Center on the Northern State University campus.
The summit will bring together industry leaders, innovators, students and aspiring entrepreneurs for discussions on the intersection of technology and entrepreneurship.
“Our mission is to cultivate the entrepreneurial tech startup culture in northeastern South Dakota,” said Bea Smith, director of Northern Innovation and Startup Center. “This event brings the latest trends and strategies to empower our communities to thrive in the ever-evolving business landscape.”
Featured speakers include:
- Tom Patterson, co-founder of Tommy John, presenting “How Tommy John Built a Brand with Loyal Following.” Patterson, a South Dakota native, will share insights on scaling his startup to global success. Following his keynote, attendees can attend a breakout Q&A session with Patterson.
- Nila R. Leiserowitz, FASID, FIIDA, discussing “To Infinity and Beyond: Conceptualize Architectural Design from Sketches to AI.” Leiserowitz’s presentation is provided in partnership with The Cramer Center for Design & Innovation.
- Matt Paulson, founder and CEO of MarketBeat, will share his entrepreneurial success story during his session “An Eighteen-Year Overnight Success: The Founding Story of MarketBeat.”
The summit will offer networking opportunities and learning experiences from tech experts and successful entrepreneurs.
