YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – Federal health officials will begin cracking down on most flavored e-cigarettes and products that are popular with underage vapers.
The Food and Drug Administration will ban the sale of fruit, candy, mint and dessert flavors from small cartridge based vaping products.
Yankton School Superintendent Wayne Kindle says they appreciate the help.
Kindle says they try to be proactive in dealing with vaping issues.
Kindle says students caught vaping or with those products will face consequences.
Larger, tank-based flavors sold in vape shops that cater to adults are exempted from the federal rules.
