PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- Officials from the University of South Dakota had to explain and defend their plans for the USD at Sioux Falls concept before the legislatures Government Operations and Audit Committee last week.
The Board of Regents have moved most of their programs to the former university center now under the USD name.
USD President Sheila Gestring says they are seeing some positive results.
Gestring says there will be a heavy emphasis on health care services.
Gestring says they will also work with businesses on their employment needs.
Gestring says they have laid out a five year plan for the facility to get into the black.
