WASHINGTON, D.C.(HubCityRadio)- This past Tuesday was the deadline to have your federal & state taxes submitted to the IRS. Senator John Thune went on the floor of the U.S. Senate to express his concerns about the Internal Revenue Service.
Thune criticizes their customer service skills.
Thune also criticizes the IRS for the way they handle people’s data.
Thune brings up concerns about how the IRS is being funded by the Inflation Reduction Act passed last year.
The IRS pledged they will not audit those that make less than $400,000, Thune has serious doubts about it.
Thune and fellow Republicans on the Senate Finance Committee has a bill they’re working on to make the IRS more accountable.
