One arrested, Rapid City police looking for two more suspects in robberies

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KBHB) — Rapid City Police made one arrest and are asking for the public’s help to catch at least two other suspects, after a string of business robberies in Rapid City early Sunday.

Police say that 21-year-old Garrett Keegan of Rapid City was found still inside Al’s D and I Auto Repair on Sturgis Road, the third of three businesses he is accused of robbing on Sunday. He refused an order to come out of the building, and was apprehended while trying to break out the back way. Keegan is also suspected in earlier robberies at 643 North Lacrosse and 2139 Jackson Boulevard.

Two people were seen on store video at 5:15 a.m., smashing a liquor store window, grabbing numerous bottles, and fleeing in a dark Chevy Trailblazer.

Police are looking for a Native American man and woman, both in their 20’s. The man was in a black hoodie with gold necklace, while the woman was in a large white jacket.
