ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio) — Aberdeen Fire Rescue reported a fire at around 2:20 a.m. in the 100 block of 8th Avenue SE.  According to their and the Aberdeen Police Department Facebook pages, crews were advised of possible occupants trapped inside the residence.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and fire conditions on the second floor of the home. Two fatalities has been confirmed.(one male & one female)  No names released at this time.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

An autopsy has been scheduled for both victims set for Friday in Grand Forks.
