One killed, another injured in crash southwest of Wagner

WAGNER, S.D. (Press Release) – One person died and another person was injured Saturday night in a one-vehicle crash southwest of Wagner.

Names of those involved are not being released pending notification of family members.

A 2002 Chevrolet Impala was westbound on 312th Street when it crossed the centerline, went off the roadway and eventually rolled.

One of the occupants, a 24-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other occupant, a 22-year-old male, suffered serious non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital in Wagner.

Which one of the two occupants was the driver has not yet been verified. Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
