BILLSBURG, S.D. (Press Release) – One man died early Friday night in a one-vehicle crash east of Billsburg.
The name of the deceased is not being released pending notification of family. He was the only person involved.
A 2005 Toyota Tundra was eastbound on South Dakota Highway 34 when it left the roadway, hit an approach and eventually rolled.
The 68-year-old driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. All information is only preliminary at this point.
The Highway Patrol is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
