OELRICHS, S.D. (Press Release) – One person died and another person was injured Sunday night in a one-vehicle crash east of Oelrichs.
Names of the two people involved have not yet been released pending notification of family members.
A 2001 Honda Accord was westbound when the vehicle left the roadway, went into the south ditch and rolled.
The 25-year-old male driver was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 27-year-old male passenger, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered serious non-life threatening injuries. He was transferred to a Rapid City hospital.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. All information is only preliminary at this point.
