BIG STONE CITY, S.D. (Press Release) – One person died Saturday night in a motorcycle crash in Big Stone City.

The name of the person involved has not yet been released pending notification of family members.

A 2019 Kawasaki ZX636GKFA was southbound on South Dakota Highway 109 when it went through the intersection with U.S. Highway 12, left the roadway, went into a yard and hit the wall of a garage.

The 20-year-old male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet. He was the only passenger.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. All information is only preliminary at this point.

The Highway Patrol is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
