NISLAND, S.D. (Press Release) – A 31-year-old man has died in a one-vehicle rollover that occurred Saturday southeast of Nisland.

A 2004 Kia Optima was traveling on Snoma Road, which is a gravel road, when the driver lost control. The vehicle went into the north ditch and rolled several times.

The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.

The Highway Patrol is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
