One killed, two injured in crash south of Revillo

REVILLO S.D. (Press Release) – One person died and two other people were injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash south of Revillo.

Names of those involved are not yet being released pending notification of family members.

A 2007 Chevrolet Silverado HD pickup was eastbound on U.S. Highway 212 when, as it turned left, collided in front of a westbound Chevrolet S-10 pickup.

The 62-year-old male driver of the Chevrolet S-10 pickup was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt.

Both female occupants of the Chevrolet Silverado – the 20-year-old driver and 51-year-old passenger – both sustained serious non-life threatening injuries and were transported to a Watertown hospital. Both were wearing seatbelts. Charges are pending against the driver.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. All information is only preliminary at this point.
