WATERTOWN, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Authorities are investigating a single-vehicle crash near Watertown that left a 53-year-old man dead on Saturday night.

According to the Department of Public Safety, around 8:15 p.m., the driver of a 2016 Chrysler 300S was traveling West on 164th Street near 450th Avenue, about 7 miles northwest of Watertown. The driver failed to navigate the curve, entered the north ditch, and rolled.

The driver died as a result of his injuries.

The name of the driver has not been released pending family notification.

South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
