Open house to address future needs of Aberdeen Regional Airport

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The City of Aberdeen along with the Federal Aviation Administration and the South Dakota Office of Air, Rail and Transit will have an open house on Tuesday, Feb. 25. The event will run from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Public Safety Building Community Room at 114 Second Ave. S.E. (police station).

Rich Krokel, Transportation Director for the City of Aberdeen, talked about meeting, which will focus on the master plan of the Aberdeen Regional Airport.

He said the goal is to figure out what physical changes might be needed at the airport.

Representatives from the City of Aberdeen, Helms & Associates, and Mead & Hunt will be in attendance.

Krokel said that enplanements were up three percent in the past year.
