ABERDEEN, S.D. (Press Release) – The open house to receive input from the public on the update of the Wylie Park Master Plan has been postponed from Wednesday, March 13 to Wednesday, March 20. The open house will be held on Wednesday, March 20 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Second Floor Library Auditorium at the Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center (ARCC), 225 3rd Avenue SE in Aberdeen.
The proposed draft of the Wylie Park Master Plan will address a full range of options and issues related to future improvements under consideration at Wylie Park. The purpose of the master plan is to guide the future development of Wylie Park over the next ten years. The purpose of the open house is to introduce the master plan to the public, presenting an overview of improvements under consideration in the beach and lake area, Circle of Flags, Storybook Land, picnic areas, zoo and the campground. A brief survey to solicit feedback on Wylie Park and future improvements, is also available online at
