ABERDEEN, S.D. (APD Facebook Post) – At approximately 11 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, officers were notified by a citizen that an armed individual was consuming alcohol in the 1000 block of S Main Street.

Upon arrival officers made contact with the subject. Subsequent to removing the firearm from the individual, the subject attempted to flee on foot. He was caught and eventually hand-cuffed after a struggle. Five baggies of marijuana were found on his person.

Charles Anthony Stewart, age 42 of Portland, Oregon, was charged with distribution of marijuana, commission of a felony while armed, obstructing a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and possession of a firearm in an alcohol establishment.
