ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Brule’ is a Native American music group started back in the early 1990s.
Founder and producer Paul LaRoche(La-Rush) talks about the group came about.
LaRoche talks about growing up as an adopted child in Minnesota.
Upon the death of his adopted parents, his wife Kathy discovered information that led her to follow up on finding his biological parents.
LaRoche upon learning he was from a Native American community, got a call from his biological brother here in South Dakota.
When he meant his brother at the reservation at Lower Brule, they talked about creating the group Brule’.
LaRoche describe the kind of music Brule’ performs.
One of the highlights was performing at Mount Rushmore. LaRoche talks about why the group despite opposition from the Native American community.
