OMAHA, Neb. (WNAX) – While the latest monthly reports indicate the Mid America economy should grow for the next few months, there are a number of outside factors that could have an impact.
Ernie Goss, Director of the Institute for Economic Inquiry at Creighton University in Omaha, says while the tariff talks with China have been extended, they may not be going well.

Goss says a failure in those talks could have real consequences.
Goss says the exit of Great Britain from the European Union is another unknown factor.
Goss says there is some agitation in England for another vote on the so called “Brexit” plan, which he says could make the situation worse.
