WATERTOWN, S.D.(KWAT)–Watertown Regional Airport topped 15,000 passenger boardings last year.
Airport Manager Rob Cyrus released 2023 passenger enplanement numbers Wednesday.
In December, 1,194 passengers boarded flights. The breakdown was 724 flying to Denver and 470 to Chicago.
For the year, Cyrus says there were 9,284 boardings to Denver, 6,065 to Chicago, plus an additional 106 Montana State football fans who boarded a charter flight in September, for a total of 15,455.
In 2022, Watertown saw 14,655 passenger enplanements.
Watertown’s Essential Air Service provider is Denver Air Connection, which flies 50-seat passenger jets non-stop to Denver International Airport and Chicago O’Hare.
