PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – Many businesses and agencies play defense during the legislative session, trying to head off any bills that may hinder their operations.

Dave Owen, President of the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry, says he will be watching for bills that impact the overall business climate.

Owen says he expects another round of so called social and moral issues.

Owen says legislators have to consider the wider effects of the bills they introduce.

Lawmakers have until Jan. 28 for unlimited bill introductions.
