YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – With the early end of the school year and ongoing pandemic, it has been challenging for school districts to hire teachers.

Yankton School Superintendent Wayne Kindle says they have had to adapt and change there, too.

Kindle says they had a good number of applicants for their open positions.

Kindle says they had one late opening to fill.

The district is planning now to start with students back in their classrooms in late August.
