YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – The coronavirus pandemic has forced many changes in how medical services are provided.
Doug Ekeren, President of Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, says the virus has moved many patients to use technology for their medical visits.
Ekeren says they now have to figure out how best to treat their patients with a combination of technology and in person visits.
Ekeren says they will expand options for their patients.
Many clinics and hospitals have seen a drop in visits for routine medical appointments due to the pandemic.
