ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – A parade to honor this year’s Aberdeen Central graduating class is set for 5 p.m. Sunday, May 17.

Carol Sommers, event coordinator, talked about the idea of having a parade.

Central’s virtual graduation will take place at 2 p.m. that afternoon with a senior highlight video at 1 p.m. It will be broadcast on Midco Channels 9 & 589; NVC Channel 7 and livestreamed from the Aberdeen School District webpage at http://www.aberdeen.k12.sd.us.

Sommers is hoping for a solid student turnout for the parade.

The event will start at Aberdeen Central High School then head west on Melgaard to Main St., go north to Scotty’s, go east to Roosevelt St. and then back south to Central.

Sommers encourages people to come out and support this year’s graduating class.
