Pasture and range conditions rated poor to very poor in South Dakota

WASHINGTON, D.C.(DRGNews)- This week’s US Department of Agriculture National Ag Statistics Service update says pasture and range conditions in South Dakota’s aren’t in very good shape.

USDA meteorologist Brad Rippey says, in fact, South Dakota’s grasslands are among some of the hardest hit by this year’s drought.

USDA NASS reporters rated 80% of the state’s pastures as being in very poor to poor condition.
