YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Covid-19 hospitalizations are starting to rise again and many of those are the so called “long haulers”, people with long term symptoms from the initial infection.

Yankton Doctor Mike Pietila says they have been seeing more of those.

Pietila says some people have permanent damage.

Pietila says there is more connection to the pandemic than past infections.

Health care officials are urging vaccinations, especially for younger people where the infections are now rising.
