SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- They’re calling it a big win for direct democracy.
The group trying to place an abortion measure on next year’s South Dakota ballot has finalized an agreement with Minnehaha County.
Dakotans for Health sued the county when it restricted the area where petitions could be circulated at the Administration building.
Co-founder Rick Weiland signed off on the agreement that removed most of those restrictions.
Weiland says the group overcame similar restrictions in Lawrence and Brown Counties.
