SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- While there might be a good haul of pheasants this season in South Dakota, good help to welcome those hunters to the Sioux Falls airport is in short supply.
Teri Ellis Schmidt with Experience Sioux Falls said half their usual vendors won’t have booths because of staffing issues.
Schmidt says she, her staff, and the other vendors will still make the out of state hunters fell welcome to the city and the state.
Game Fish and Park’s Emmett Keyser (Kee-zur) Keyser says early indications from the youth and resident season looks good.
Game officials were concerned that the early summer drought would depress pheasant numbers.
Non-residential pheasant opener is Saturday, October 16th at 10am.
