PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- The Pierre City Commission is making it harder for people outside Pierre and Fort Pierre to take use their alcohol license for special events in the city.  Commissioners passed a resolution to restrict the use of special alcohol licenses.

Finance Officer Twila Hoffrogge says a recent special license application made them aware of the details of the state law.

The resolution makes only three changes to restrict who can apply for such a special license.

To apply for a special alcohol license you must be a qualifying organizations or a current license holder and can only apply for a special license of the type of license you currently hold.
