PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- An 18 year old from Pierre is charged with Public Indecency after being seen running with no clothes on near the intersection of Highland Avenue and Sioux Avenue over the weekend.

Information from the Pierre Police Department says Jermaine Prue was arrested Saturday morning when officers encountered the male subject running toward the alleyway within the 400 block of East Sioux Avenue. Prue was given several verbal commands to stop but did not comply and continued to run south. After a short foot pursuit, officers were able to detain Prue, who continued to actively resist arrest.

Officers requested AMR ambulance service respond to assess Prue for any medical concerns, then transported him to Avera St. Mary’s Hospital.

Prue was later released and charged with Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer and Resisting Arrest, in addition to the Public Indecency charge.
