PIERRE, S.D. (DRG News) – School administrators across the state are hoping normalcy will have returned by the start of the coming school year (2020-21), but the COVID-19 pandemic has them making plans in case it hasn’t.
Pierre Schools Supt. Dr. Kelly Glodt told the school board at Monday’s meeting, if school starts on time and what the year will look like have yet to be determined.
Glodt says committee members are working through different scenarios.
He says the committees are focused on instruction and logistics.
Glodt says in this case, having to wait to know how the school year will begin is a good thing.
The Pierre School District will provide information as more details are known.
