PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- The cities of Pierre and Watertown have about a week to present a recommendation to the U-S Department of Transportation as to what air service they would like to see serve their cities. Pierre Mayor Steve Harding says the city has looked closely at the three possible options for air travel.
A number of questions remain about important information like days of travel and flight times. For Denver Air Connection, their hands are tied on that information until a contract is awarded.
Harding says Pierre has been in conversations with Watertown Regional Airport about how two hubs are working for them as Watertown currently has Denver Air flights to Chicago.
Harding says most of the public comment the city has received is in support of the Minneapolis option.
