PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- Tornadoes last weekend ripped through areas near Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska and a Pierre woman was very near the worst of it. Holly Wade, a Nebraska native, traveled to Lincoln for the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers Spring Game.
Wade says her group had plans to get back to their hotel by 1:30 Saturday afternoon and was more concerned about the hail threat.
While Wade never say any tornadoes with her own eyes, she did see what it left or didn’t leave behind.
The National Weather Service office in Omaha issued 42 tornado warnings on Friday. Damage surveys are still being conducted to determine a confirmed number of tornadoes.
