Plant in Worthington depopulating pigs

WORTHINGTON, Minn. (KELO) – The Big JBS pork processing plant in Worthington is partially re-opened, but for a terrible purpose.

Minnesota Ag Chief Thom Peterson says the plant is killing pigs that are backing up at producers because of plant closures.

Peterson says a big challenge for re-opening plants is to make sure you do it in a way that they stay open.
