ABERDEEN, S.D. (By Elisa Sand esand@aberdeennews.com) – Police are investigating the death of a 43-year-old woman found Monday evening.
Aberdeen Police Department Capt. Tanner Jondahl said officers were called to a home on Fourth Avenue Southwest at 8:02 p.m. The initial call was for an unconscious person. When law enforcement and medics arrived they found the woman was dead in her home.
Jondahl said once that determination was made, additional officers were called. So far, he said, there’s nothing that indicates the woman’s death was suspicious, but the investigation will continue to determine how she died because of her young age.
While a preliminary cause of death could be available fairly soon, Jondahl said, it could take several weeks for toxicology and other analysis.
