Possible low water pressure near NSU beginning Monday

ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release)- In conjunction with the South Dakota Street Reconstruction project that is currently ongoing, repairs and improvements of a large diameter water transmission line are slated to begin Monday, June 12th.  These improvements will make it necessary to shut down a 16” transmission line that feeds the water towers near NSU and in the Southwest part of Aberdeen.  Because this transmission line will be shut down, supplying the volume of water needed to keep the towers full will be difficult.  Residents are therefore asked to conserve water by eliminating excess water usage, including lawn watering, from Sunday, June 11th to Wednesday, June 14th.  Reducing water consumption during this time will help preserve water for fire protection and domestic uses and will also help prevent residents from experiencing low water pressure.  For more information, please contact the City of Aberdeen Public Works Department at 605-626-7010 or email Public Works Director Robin Bobzien at robin.bobzien@aberdeen.sd.us.
