The “Woman’s Building” at the Brown County Fairgrounds that was set to be put up for surplus and demolished, may have been given new life in a different way. County Highway Superintendent Dirk Rogers is in need of winter storage and there may be enough good wood that could be salvaged from the building to allow for it to be repurposed for storage.

An Asbestos Inspector will be assessing the building this coming week, and following the inspection, the County will have a better idea of what can and can’t be salvaged. If a suitable amount of wood can be saved, the demolition of the remaining material and building would be put off until a later time.
