Prairie Lakes Ice Arena manager leaving at the end of May

WATERTOWN,, S.D.(KWAT)–The manager of Watertown’s new Prairie Lakes Ice Arena is leaving that job–effective at the end of May.

Scott Gloe (gloh) was hired in November 2022 after previously serving as CEO of Jenkins Living Center in Watertown.

City Manager Amanda Mack tells KWAT News it was Gloe’s decision to leave the job.

The $36.5 million ice arena opened two months ago.

Gloe’s resignation follows news earlier this month that Watertown Regional Airport Manager Rob Cyrus had been fired by the city.

Public Works Director Heath VonEye is serving as interim airport manager until that position is filled.
