ABERDEEN, S.D. (Press Release) – The Presentation College Saints are proud to present a check for more than $2,000 to the Avera St. Luke’s Foundation, in support of Avera’s 3D mammogram program.
Multiple teams participated in fundraising efforts during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Led by PC Volleyball coaches and players, the Saints held various fundraisers, sales and activities to support the cause at home games. The Saints also partnered with local businesses, including OnTrack Nutrition.
The money raised this year will support Avera’s 3D Mammogram voucher program, which assists those who qualify with the difference in cost for highly effective 3D imaging, as well as the Imaging Center’s purchase of a new mammogram chair.
Saints athletes and “Spirit,” the St. Bernard mascot, joined PC Volleyball Coaches Chelsey Albrecht and Hayley Swenson to present the check to Amy Blackstone of Avera St. Luke’s Foundation.
2019 marks the second year of PC Saints Volleyball’s partnership with Avera for Breast Cancer Awareness.
