Presentation College raising salaries & hiring

ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release) – Presentation College’s President, Dr. Paula Langteau, announced a 5% pay increase for all of the College’s regular full- and part-time employees. The increase was approved, effective immediately, by a special meeting of the PC Board of Trustees on March 1, 2022. “We are not waiting on the new contract year,” stated Langteau, “because our hard-working faculty and staff deserve to benefit right away from their diligence and commitment to providing an exceptionally high-quality learning environment for our students.”

As the College launches its new strategic plan, focused on rural health care, new positions are also being posted. Among them is the Academic Dean of Pre-Professional Programs and a new Coordinator of Community Outreach and Special Events. “These positions will strengthen the focus of our programming and provide greater connectivity to our community,” Langteau said. The College is also eager to fill vacancies which have remained open during periods of the pandemic now that the market is poised for more individuals to be job-seeking again. “Many businesses and non-profit organizations experienced a larger-than-usual cluster of vacancies throughout the pandemic. Now, as more and more people return to the market, we are eager to bring more of those talented professionals into the PC family,” Langteau stated.

For Fall 2022, faculty positions in the areas of Nursing, Business, Psychology, and English will be filled. Dr. Sandra Welling, Dean of Nursing and Chief Academic Officer shared that opportunities exist in academic leadership was well, stating, “As we expand our focus on rural health care, we are seeking Program Director leadership for our Radiologic Technology program and for our Practical Nursing program.”

PC is also hiring for administrative support staff, IT, registrar, and student life roles. “There has never been a more exciting time to join Presentation College,” said Dr. Marcus Garstecki, Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. “We see projected Fall enrollment numbers up from where they were this time last year, and we are eager to bring more staff on board to help us serve those students.”
