Preview of 2023 South Dakota State Fair

HURON, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Starting on Thursday & running through Labor Day is the 2023 South Dakota State Fair taking place at the fairgrounds in Huron.

Assistant Managing Director Candi Briley provides a preview.

Briley talks about one of the first event taking place is the ribbon cutting for the new Dakota Events Complex(DEX) that will take place on Thursday.

Each day of the Fair has a specific theme.  Thursday is Value Added Ag Day.

Friday is Prostrollo Motors Day where if you go to the fair, Briley talks about why it’s important to wear red that day.

Saturday is SD Farmers Union Day.

Sunday is Department of Public Safety Day where Briley talks about how it’s an honor to work with the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.

Briley talks about how to get tickets at a discounted rate than if you go the day of the fair.

Grandstand entertainment this year includes the Bull Bash on Wednesday & Thursday, Funny man Gabriel Iglesis on Friday, Carly Pearce on Saturday, & Lady A scheduled for Sunday.
