Preview of 80th Boys State

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The 80th Boys State will begin on Memorial Day and run through Friday, June 2nd.

Director Christopher Van DeList offered up a preview of what to expect.

Van talks about how many students are scheduled to arrive this year.

Van talks about the memorial services that will be done on Memorial Day.

Guest speakers will begin on Tuesday.  One of them will be Aberdeen City Councilman Josh Rife for the second straight year & he previews what he will tell the students.

On Wednesday, the focus turns to county government & Brown County Commissioner Mike Wiese will be talking to them once again.

Governor Kristi Noem will speak to Boys State on Thursday & Van talks about what he thinks they will hear.

Members of the Washington D.C. delegation are scheduled to arrive on Friday at 11am for a Boys State version of a town hall.  Van talks how they were able to accomplish that.

Van talks about this being a life learning experience for the students.
