ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Starting on Monday, June 2nd, the 82nd Boys State will be taking place at Northern State University as it has been since 1940.

The goal of Boys State is to provide students the opportunity to understand how government works on a city, council, and state levels.

Among those scheduled to appear at Boys State this year include the following:

Congressman Dusty Johnson

South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley

Watertown City Councilman Kyle Peters

Brown County Commissioner Mike Wiese

Representatives Al Novstrup & Jamie Smith describing their party affiliation

Representaive Spencer Gosch will be doing Citizen’s Forums.

Culminates with Governor Larry Rhoden delivering his address to Boys Staters on Thursday.

More names hopefully to come.

The Boys Media Team will keep up to date with what’s happening through social media.  They are scheduled to be in our studios on Wednesday that week.

The event will end on Friday, June 6th.
