Preview of Aberdeen City Council meeting

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Aberdeen City Council meeting will hold their meeting Monday at the Municipal Building.

The agenda will address mostly organizational for the year.

They will elect the Deputy Mayor.  Current Deputy Mayor is Councilman Alan Johnson.

They will announce council members for various boards representing the city.

The council will address their annual open meeting laws.

The council will look at two resolutions.  One dealing with any pending lawsuits the city of Aberdeen could get involved in.  No lawsuits in play for now.

The other is an emergency moratorium resolution involving data centers.  This stems from bills passed this year by the South Dakota Legislature.

The council will address payments involving Public Works and Airport projects.

The meeting begins at 5:30pm and is open to the general public.
