Preview of Aberdeen City Council meeting

ABERDEEN, S.D.(Hub City Radio)- The Aberdeen City Council will hold their meeting Monday at the Municipal Building.

Among some of the items on the agenda include:

A report from the Aberdeen Convention & Visitors Bureau.  Likely to hear from Executive Director Casey Weismantel.

A funding request from the Dacotah Prairie Museum Foundation to expand the museum.  Likely to hear from Director Patricia Kendall.  This was addressed during last Tuesday’s Brown County Commission meeting.

The council will work on a timeline to adopt an ordinance for data centers.  Last meeting, the council placed a moratorium on data centers that will expire on November 18th.

The council will look into a resolution dealing with funding assistance with the South Dakota Housing Development Authority.  This would go toward Aster, LLC who’s working on housing development near 25th Ave NE and North Harrison Street.

The council will look into proposals dealing with the 2nd Street Bridge Preservation Project.

The meeting begins at 5:30pm and is open to the public.
