PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- While the holiday shopping season starts as early as Halloween, South Dakota Retailers Association Executive Director Nathan Sanderson says Black Friday is still a big deal.

Sanderson says the focus has changed over the past few years.

Sanderson says many more people are shopping earlier.

Sanderson says for many retailers, the last month of the year can amount to twenty five percent of total yearly sales.
