ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Coming up this Wednesday, there will be an event focusing on the constitutionality of American citizens. Retired Arizona Sheriff Richard Mack provides a preview.
Mack will be discussing three main topics at the Wednesday event. One of the topics discussed will the issue of eminent domain versus property rights.
Mack talks about the amendments in the Bill of Rights that eminent domain violates.
Another topics to be discussed in the issue of the second amendment(The Right to Bear Arms shall not be infringed). Back in 1997 he along with other sheriffs played a role in determining that parts of the Brady Bill was unconstitutional. Mack talks about the role the federal government has with regards to the second amendment.
Mack talks about the role of the tenth amendment played in overturning the Brady Bill.
Another topic discussed Wednesday will be the role of sheriffs should play with regards to the U.S. Constitution.
On Thursday, Sheriff Mack will be conducting a class & encouraging all sheriffs, county commissioners, and city council members to attend. Mack talks about the theme of this class.
Wednesday’s event is free & open to the public. It will begin at 7pm at City Lights in downtown Aberdeen.
Thursday’s event will run from 9-11am at the Brown County building.
