BRANDON, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The group, South Dakota Property Rights and Local Control Alliance will be holding a rally Tuesday immediately after the 2024 Legislative Session gavels out at the Capitol Rotunda.
Volunteer for SDPRLCA Rick Bonander(Bo-nan-der) provides a preview of what to expect. The group will introduce a referendum to repeal SB201(Local Control) and place it on the November ballot.
Bonander gives his thought on the 2024 session.
Bonander explains this referendum has support of both Republicans & Democrats.

Bonander discuss some of the issues the group has with SB201 starting with the constitutionality of the bill.
Bonander next express the issue of whether the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission should have a right to override local control.

The group will start to gather petitions immediately following the end of session. They must gather 17,508 valid siganatures by June 27th.
