Preview of the Brown County Fair

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)-  The Brown County Fair begins on Monday through Sunday, August 18th.

Brown County Fair Manager Rachel Kippley provides a preview of what to expect.

Kippley inform us that they are looking for people to volunteer their time this Saturday in preparations for the fair.

Kippley talks about what they are planning on doing this Saturday.

One of the new things you will be seeing this year is the new roof for the Holum Expo Building.

Vendors will begin to roll starting on Tuesday, and Kippley talks about the sampling that will be done that day.

Grandstand entertainment will begin on Monday with two nights of the Dacotah Bank Stampede Rodeo with concerts beginning on Wednesday.  Kippley everyone to get their tickets in advance for these events.

Kippley emphasize that prices will go up if you wait until the day of for these events.

On Sunday morning at the fair, the Brown County Fair Foundation does their pancake breakfast.  Jeff Kippley whose on the Fair Foundation member talks more about that.

That will run from 7am-11am.  The cost is only five dollars.

For the first time that Sunday, lumberjacks will be an event at the Grandstand.  Rachel previews that.

The Brown County will go from Monday, August 12th through Sunday, August 18th.
